Forum
Loquendo is a promoter member of the VoiceXML
Forum (Voice Extensible Markup Language),
an industry organization chartered with establishing
and promoting the Voice Extensible Markup Language
(VoiceXML), a new specification essential to
making Internet content and information accessible
via voice and phone. With the backing and technology
contributions of its founders and the support
of leading Internet industry players, the VoiceXML
Forum is uniquely positioned to make speech-enabled
applications on the Internet a near-term reality.
The forum supports the activity of the VoiceXML
community by developing standards and by facilitating
the activities that support the implementation
and acceptance of standards in the marketplace
through such activities as conformance testing,
marketing, training, etc.
The VoiceXML Forum is an IEEE-ISTO
(Industry Standards and Technology Organization)
program.
W3C
As a Telecom Italia Group company, Loquendo
is an active contributor to the W3C (World
Wide Web Consortium), a consortium founded in
1994, for the development of interoperable technologies
(through specifications, guidelines, software,
and tools) to lead the Web to its full potential
and to ensure that this interoperability lasts
in the future.
Loquendo is a member of two Working Groups:
the Voice
Browser and Multimodal
Interaction groups.
Speech
Application Language Tags (SALT) Forum
Loquendo is a contributing member of the SALT
Forum, a group of companies with a shared
goal of accelerating the use of speech technologies
in multimodal and telephony systems.
Founded in 2001, the SALT forum contributes
towards the development of a standard aimed
at enriching existing web mark-up languages
to provide multimodal voice access to content.
